The Community Development Society (CDS) has announced job vacancies for multiple key positions in their upcoming women and child empowerment project in Khandadevi Rural Municipality, Ramechhap. These positions are contractual, lasting until May 2028, and aim to enhance health, hygiene, sanitation, and community resilience through integrated social development.

Open Positions

1. Project Coordinator (1 Position)

Duty Station: Project Office with frequent field travel
Contract Type: Fixed-term

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project execution plans.
  • Guide field implementation in line with logical frameworks.
  • Prepare and submit project progress reports.
  • Supervise and mentor project staff.
  • Manage project data systems and documentation.
  • Coordinate with district, municipal stakeholders.
  • Develop financial plans and control expenditures.
  • Support proposal writing and baseline assessments.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in any field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent English (speaking & writing).
  • Skilled in proposal/report writing, coordination, and team leadership.
  • Able to ride a two-wheeler.

2. Public Health Officer (1 Position)

Duty Station: Project Office with regular field visits
Contract Type: Fixed-term

Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate community-level discussions on sexual/reproductive health, nutrition, sanitation, immunization, maternal health, and more.
  • Develop training curricula and educational materials.
  • Collaborate with municipalities on public health planning.
  • Promote accessibility and quality of healthcare services.
  • Facilitate medical desk operations in schools.
  • Coordinate health camps and training events.
  • Mentor junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Public Health and registered with relevant council.
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • Strong facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Familiar with MS Office.
  • Skilled in English communication.
  • Two-wheeler license preferred.

3. Engineer (1 Position)

Duty Station: 70% Field-based
Contract Type: Fixed-term

Responsibilities:

  • Assess project demands and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Design and estimate WASH infrastructures (e.g. water systems, toilets, incinerators).
  • Monitor construction and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage construction materials and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with ward and municipal authorities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Registered with Nepal Engineering Council.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of procurement and construction standards.
  • Two-wheeler rider preferred.

4. Admin & Finance Officer (1 Position)

Duty Station: Project Office (with occasional field visits)
Contract Type: Fixed-term

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily administrative and financial operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Submit timely financial progress reports.
  • Assist in audit preparation.
  • Monitor field expenses and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • MBA/MBS with 3 years of experience or Bachelor’s with 5 years.
  • Skilled in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of tax, VAT, and procurement procedures.
  • Data analysis skills (Excel, SPSS preferred).

5. Health Workers (3 Positions)

Duty Station: 100% Field-based
Contract Type: Fixed-term

Responsibilities:

  • Form and facilitate regular meetings with mothers’ groups.
  • Conduct awareness events on reproductive health, nutrition, hygiene, vaccination, and disease prevention.
  • Support first-aid training and medical desk operations in schools.
  • Help organize public health days and mobile health camps.

Requirements:

  • PCL Nursing (registered with Nepal Nursing Council) or Certificate in General Medicine/Health Assistant (registered with NHPC).
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • MS Office and basic documentation skills.
  • Excellent coordination and community engagement ability.
