Our 25MWp Solar Farm in Nuwakot, Nepal, is a key project supporting clean energy adoption in the region. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Overseer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance (O&M) of this facility.

Job Overview

As an Electrical Overseer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of the solar power plant. You will oversee electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards, contributing to uninterrupted green energy production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Monitoring & Maintenance

• Conduct daily inspections of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Monitor SCADA systems to track energy production and identify inefficiencies.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, wiring issues, and equipment failures.

• Coordinate with technicians to implement quick and effective solutions.

• Ensure all repairs comply with safety and operational standards.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, IEC, and company safety protocols.

• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

• Maintain compliance with local and international electrical regulations.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents.

• Generate weekly and monthly reports for management review.

• Assist in performance analysis to optimize energy output.

5. Team Coordination & Leadership

• Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance work.

• Train staff on best practices in electrical maintenance and safety.

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams for system upgrades.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred).

• 1+ years of experience in solar PV systems, electrical maintenance, or power plants.

• Experience with grid-connected solar farms is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, transformers, inverters, and protection systems.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults using multimeters, clamp meters, etc.

• Familiarity with SCADA monitoring and PV system diagnostics.

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

• Strong communication for team coordination.

• Ability to work independently in remote locations.
