Job Overview: Project Manager – Civil Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager – Civil Engineer to oversee large-scale construction projects in Bhairahawa, Lumbini, and Siddharthanagar. This is a senior-level position requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on project management experience.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, executing, and finalizing projects within deadlines and budgets.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead a team of engineers, contractors, and site supervisors.

  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure smooth communication.

  • Delegate tasks effectively to optimize productivity.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Approvals

  • Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and stakeholders for necessary approvals.

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with Nepalese building codes, labor laws, and environmental regulations.

  • Handle legal documentation (permits, contracts, compliance reports).

4. Quality Control & Safety Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Enforce strict safety protocols to prevent accidents.

  • Provide safety training for workers and subcontractors.

5. Risk Management & Problem-Solving

  • Identify potential risks (delays, cost overruns, material shortages).

  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Master’s degree (preferred) for advanced project management roles.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years in construction project management (residential/commercial).

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.

  • Experience with government approvals and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera P6.

  • Strong understanding of structural design, material specifications, and construction methodologies.
