What does the Technical Analyst Role Entail?

 The Technical Analyst will support the USAID Urja Nepal project to achieve the following objectives in Nepal:

  • Improve Nepal’s energy sector performance
  • Enhance private sector participation
  • Accelerate innovation in clean energy solutions
  • Enhance capacity for integrated power sector planning

Key Objectives of the Role:

  • Strengthen the energy sector planning frameworks and tools
  • Engage various stakeholders to align energy strategies to program goals
  • Knowledge management: workshops and events.
  • Provide actionable insights and guidelines on the adoption of clean energy.

What Will You Do as a Technical Analyst? As a Technical Analyst, you will:

Collaborate on Energy Planning:

Develop models and tools for energy demand assessment, generation expansion, and transition planning.

Pilot innovative clean energy technologies.

Engage Stakeholders:

Communicate with government, private sector, academia, and civil society to gather insight and support.

Organize Workshops:

Organize and lead capacity-building workshops on energy efficiency, electric mobility, and other advanced technologies.

Manage Data and Reports:

Collect, clean, and analyze energy-related data.

Prepare technical reports, manuals, and success stories.

Support Grant Programs:

Support the coordination of grantees and tracking their progress.

Contribute to M&E Reporting:

Update the activities and impact of the program.
